Part 2 Stranger to Client

I Wish I Didn’t Need to Include #6

Apr 06, 2024

There's thousands of people telling you that their approach is the ONLY way to build your business + increase your impact. It's overwhelming. Last week, I gave you the first three timeless steps you need to cut through the crap and get more clients.

They are...

  1. Create Magnetic Messaging
  2. Be Willing to Standout
  3. Have a Way for Folks to Raise Their Hands

Today I'm giving you steps 4, 5, and 6 to predictively turn strangers into clients, regardless of whatever the trendy tactic of the moment is.

4. Build Relationships With Those Who Show Interest

The truth? Your relationship with them started the moment they were introduced to you + your message. But once they've raised their hand for more, you have an opportunity to go deeper. You have the chance to start getting to know them.

Some of this can be automated.

Like this video that's sent to folks who sign up to my newsletter. But the most meaningful things can't be done by the robots. That means starting DM/email conversations, sending voice notes or video messages, and asking questions so you can better understand who they are + what they're looking for as they're diving deeper into your world.

There's a reason why it's called social media.

5. Make Them Offers They Want

Whether it's on an enrollment call, in your newsletter, or at the end of a workshop, if you want to help more people, you have to make them an offer to work together. Otherwise, you can go through everything up to this point and STILL not get more clients. And if you want to increase the likelihood that they'll say yes, you want to be intentional about your offer.

What do I mean?

  • It's easier to sell ice cream on a hot summer day.
  • People are willing to pay more for painkillers than vitamins.
  • You're more likely to get a kiss at the end of the 2nd date than the 1st.
  • And students tend to have less disposable income.

How you frame your offer, when/where you're offering it, and who you're offering it to all greatly impact whether people take you up on what you're proposing.

6. Deliver an Awesome Service That Gives Results

I wish I didn't need to include this final one.

But there were a lot of coaches, consultants, and "experts" that were making noise when I started Growth Habit in 2019 that are no longer around because of the negative word of mouth from unhappy clients. It doesn't matter how flashy your marketing is, you have to deliver the goods. If you're reading this, my guess is that you're great at what you do + genuinely give a sh!t about those you serve.

Which is wonderful, because happy clients send referrals and referrals are f*cking awesome.

Now go create magnetic messaging, be willing to stand out, have a way for folks to raise their hands, build relationships with those that show interest, make compelling offers when the time is right, and deliver an awesome service so that you can get more clients + help more people.

See you next Saturday.

P.S. Why are there so many damn coaches?
Why is the demand for coaching growing? And do you really need a coaching certification? These are some of the spicy topics I covered in this live interview on Thursday. Catch the replay here.
